This is a mechanical water pump seal for the Honda CX and GL line of motorcycles. It’s the larger seal diameter to suit the later bikes – the smaller, earlier one is no longer available so the older bikes will have to Shep the seal or ream the hole to suit the larger size seal.

Should be more transparent to note that the metal bushing this fits into DOES NOT fit CX500 bikes prior to ’82. you must reuse the OEM version and should take care when removing the old

it is not us that needs to be more transparent in 1987 honda stopped making the earlier seal and so began the 2 different get around
is you have read up anywhere you would have run into the thing about reusing the old cup called the “shep method” been so since the early 90s
or using a flap disc to enlarge the seal bore if the rear cover is off.as I said this is a well know and hugely documented item for the last 25 years plus
there is only one seal the later larger one not my issue to be transparent about
