Had an issue with my petcock trying to share space with the new carbs and I sent him a message. Got a call from him like 15 minutes later full of questions and solutions. The customer service is second to none.

Amazing customer service!! The carbs were so easy to install and the bike literally started right up! High recommend as I have now have worry free carburetors on my 1978 bike!

Great bit of kit, as my Brit friends across the pond would say. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cheaper quality pod filters included. Otherwise, quality is top notch. I have already had comments from passers-by who liked the quality and look of the carb setup.

interesting our filters are made by s and b of california one of the largest oem suppliers in the usa and a huge name in aftermarket
they exceed all our expectaions and we have bought thousands they are a strong american company
unlike what some prefer the other company sold out to goldman sachs years ago and despite that is now in restructuring so we will see how that turns out for them
so cheaper no and supply issues no
quality issue we have never had one in 13 years

These carb’s are awesome! Woke my bike right up. The only issue I ran into was frame clearance with the K&N pod filters but I set the carbs up to point inboard my frame and the pods sit where the stock are box was! To me gives it a kinda sleeper look the clearance issue could be taken care of with some short mushroom filters! Food for thought.

they are designed to point inwards for many reasons

First impressions were very good, the manifolds are nicely cast and the welding is neat. Assembly time is supposed to be 20 – 30 minutes (assuming you’ve already removed the old carbs and air box of course, that will take a lot longer!) and I reckon I would have finished things in that time scale had I not overlooked a few things.
Firstly, the pods were a very tight fit on the carbs (which is a good thing) so it’s easier to fit them to the carbs before fitting the carbs to the intakes, as there’s not a lot of room to manipulate the pods once the carbs are in place.
Secondly, the inner mounting bolt on each manifold is tricky to reach with a standard allen key. So it’s quicker to start with those bolts and get them really tight with your fingers before fitting the second bolt and then you only need to nip the inners up.
I forgot that getting rid of the stock airbox will need some sort of breather fitted to the engine so had to buy one of those as well. A K&N 16 – 19mm crankcase filter fits with just a small amount of tweaking to the rubber.
Finally, I also forgot that the handlebar end of the throttle cable is threaded so it was necessary to take the twistgrip assembly apart. Not a problem if you know what’s in there but otherwise you will need to be careful as there are some small parts you really don’t want to lose!
So, all fitted and ready to go. Started on the button and settled down to an even idle – I couldn’t have been happier! I haven’t taken the bike past 70 yet but, so far, the carbs are providing a smooth power delivery right across the rev range, which is something I couldn’t achieve with the stock carbs no matter how hard I tried.
Anything I don’t like? Well, it’s not Murrays fault but the chokes are a little annoying. They are either on or off, and the choke lever for the right hand carb is not easy to reach with big hands/ big gloves on. I think it would be possible to rig up a linked cable system but I’m honestly not that bothered about it.
Overall, this deserves its 5 out of 5 rating – it’s a well thought out kit, which fits first time (if you take a few minutes to think about things) and works perfectly.
To avoid any confusion about the photos, I should explain that I have got fed up with cleaning bikes over the years so this was built to look exactly the way I found it but with every mechanical/ chassis/ suspension part working better than the day it left the factory!

they are not chokes mikunis have an enrichener so they are only on or off
