Allows you to replace the stock Honda CX500/GL500/CX650/GL650/GL700/CX400/GL400 oil filter with one of several standard automotive spin on filters which are much more universally stocked at parts stores. Also gain the benefit of a larger filter using newer filtering technology and increasing oil capacity for better cooling and lower oil temp.
There are two variants available – the original and one for shorter, metric filters. The first variant allows for larger oil filters which is good for long highway rides and cooling the oil more, and the metric variant allows for more compact oil filters.
